Throughout the inspection/bid I was ensured that most of my garage unit was brand new, including the steel door, yet multiple times I was pushed to replace my entire garage door when all that needed to be replaced were the cables. Once the technician finally understood all I wanted work on were the cables, he did a quick and efficient job, otherwise my rating would be even lower. I understand the need to upsell, especially when repairs are almost as costly as a new unit, but when all I needed was a small repair, it’s ridiculous to upsell an entire new product and I did NOT appreciate, what I take as an insult, trying to swindle the sale of a completely unnecessary new unit.

Hello Meghan and we am sorry for your experience today. We looked up your account, safely inspection and talk to the Tech to see what we can find out. After further review, we think I found out what happened. We are again sorry that you felt you were being up sold on items that you didn't need. We believe you had your door rebuilt using some older parts from the previous door and since then, the bottom section had been damaged. Our Tech noticed the rust, wear and tear on the hinges, roller, cables, etc. along with the damaged lower section. We believe, and we may be wrong, but we believe he was letting you know that if you were to replace all the needed items described above...it would be less expensive to replace the whole door. We understand now that you just wanted to replace the broken cables and that was it. Totally understandable, sorry for the confusion and perceived pressure. The answering service gave me 'ballpark' quotes and discounts. When I spoke with the tech about prices he informed me the prices were way off. (Hence the 4 stars)He apologized for the misunderstanding/misinformation and explained the actual 'walk out the door' cost to repair my garage door. After inspecting everything, he said I didn't need a new opener or door. What I needed was a big spring and something to secure the rod. He saved me a lot of money and did a good job!

Precision came right out the same day. I was told step-by-step what was wrong and what needed to be replaced. I was offered two possible solutions with prices clearly given. Same day service and our service man (Adam) was courteous, friendly, and very skilled. He estimated the time and finished within five minutes of the estimate. Good to go, no problems since. I would definately choose Precision again.

7/21/2018 Great Job! This was the first time we used Precision Door Service and was completely satisfied with the results. The garage door spring broke late Friday, and Adam came out a little before 10 AM on Saturday. Adam was on time, reviewed with me the safety concerns and my options and worked diligently removing the old garage door springs and putting in the new Hi Cycle springs and rollers. He made necessary checks on other concerns of the door, tightened and replaced bolts as necessary and was done before we knew it! I highly recommend Precision Door for Garage Door service of any kind. Adam was very pleasant, worked hard and smart and did a great job.

Precision Door Service responded with next day service to repair my garage door. John (and Adam I believe) was thoroughly professional. They inspected the damage and offered me multiple service options. They were very efficient and completed the job in less than 45 minutes. I was very happy with the service provided and will happily use Precision again.

The service man called when he was on his way and told me when he would arrive. He was on time and after taking a look at the door he got to work. I could not believe how quickly he was able to get this done. Since my house is so old I was concerned that he would have the right parts but he did. I am very please with the service.
