I was having problems with door opening and closing all the way. Made an appointment online easily. Precision sends a text ahead of appointment with name and picture of technician. Nowadays I feel this is important for everyone's safety. My technician Brady was prompt informative and friendly. Nate the other technician was also. They replaced a split bracket and reattached/reinforced the main bracket that holds the tension spring rod to the wall. Rollers were also replaced. I would highly recommend Precision to anyone. Thanks again.

Brady and his partner here to replace broken springs. They also found and showed me several broken hinges and rollers. They lubricated and did other adjustments. They were both professional and friendly and explained all the charges. I am happy with Precision’s service.

Their window for the arrival time was much narrower than other companies, and actually arrived earlier after checking to make sure the earlier arrival time was convenient. Responded first thing in morning after late afternoon service call request. Keypad function was erratic - sometimes not working at all. Andrew replaced after troubleshooting. Noticed that the old springs were weak - not holding up door properly - and subject to breaking, with possible motor damage resulting. Replaced springs and bearings - job completed in under two hours. Andrew also explained how the door opener works and what to look for to maintain its function. He was thorough and friendly. We highly recommend Precision for garage door installation and service.

I purchased a new garage door (16 x 7, 9100 Sonoma Ranch) and opener (Lift Master 8550 WLB) on 4/29/20. This review is not about that purchase but the service call I had this year to service a problem I was having with the opener, "Excessive Closing Force Detected, Error Code 4-1". I informed Precision of the problem and they sent a technician out on a Saturday. The technician adjusted the amount of travel down which had nothing to do with the problem, it was faulting as it tried to close. The technician stated I would no longer have the problem. I tried closing the door and it faulted again! I explained I disconnected the door from the opener and opened it half way and it pulled upwards hard, I thought the springs needed adjustment and that it was out of balance. The technician said no it is because I have an insulated door with windows. That seems ridiculous to tell me that after I spent more money for an insulted door with windows. At this time the technician took pictures and videos and stated no one was in the office and someone would get back to me regarding this issue. I never received a call! I called several weeks later and the office told me they would inform management and someone would definitely get back with me. I never got a call again! This is unacceptable to me.

If you are thinking of getting a garage door installed be forewarned not to put LED bulbs in the opener. Apparently they are not compatible with the openers and will "burn out" the electronics. Our door is only a year and a half old and the fix was $215. Wish someone would have forewarned us about the bulbs and about the cost of the repair. Prior to this, my review would have been much higher. I love the door and was happy with the install process.

Hello Mr. Smith, I am sorry that you had a problem with using a LED bulb in your opener. We do instruct our techs to alert customers not to replace burned out factory bulbs with LED bulbs. There is a warning in the owner's manual and we are asking the manufacturer to work on a way to better let the customer. With the invent on the LED bulb, we are addressing this issue. I am glad that you were happy with the door and the install. Thank you.
