I would give Precision Garage Door a 5 star rating. After talking with the owner Jim it was all a misunderstanding. It has all been explained with a positive outcome. I would recommend Precision Door and technician John Nair. Very professional company and knowledgeable technicians.

This company is definitely a 5 , Have had them coming for over 15 yrs of more with old garage door repairs and purchase of new garage door , and yearly garage door maintenance , everyone repair technician had been overly nice and very knowledgeable and had done a great job ! We have had friends have them out , and have been very happy also ! Will continue... to have them service our garage door and opener for years to come ! Very Happy and satisfied customers ????????! My problem was with the door opener. The wi-fi was not working at all. The remote, the wall switch, and the Homelink in my car were working fine. I just had no wi-fi connection. The tech that was assigned to my call didn't really understand the difference between the remotes and the wi-fi. Fortunatly, the person that was with him (I didn't get his name, but he was from Memphis and was doing some kind of training) knew right away that the problem was a bad logic board and that it needed to be replaced. Everything is working just fine now.

Kevin was not only on time, but he was even early. He was super patient and didn't judge me for how I damaged my garage door. LOL. Kevin explained everything thoroughly, and I was confident that the repair that was needed, was being done correctly.

The service included replacing springs, rollers and the bottom weather stripping (which initiated the call). Precision was one of the companies recommended by Home Advisor. The service was scheduled the day following my call. The service technician, John Nair, was very professional and extremely knowledgeable with 18 years of experience. He offered several repair alternatives. The entire repair was completed in about 90 minutes and includes a 5 year parts and labor warranty. The door now operates smoothly and much more quietly. I'm am very pleased with the overall experience with Precision, although the quoted price was higher than anticipated.

I was able to get a service tech out only an hour or so after I called to schedule my repair. The service tech was very clear about pricing up front and gave me several options to choose from with little pressure. He completed the job quickly to my satisfaction. Overall very pleased with the service. Replacing these door springs is VERY dangerous and something no one should DIY. Leave it to these guys.

Throughout the inspection/bid I was ensured that most of my garage unit was brand new, including the steel door, yet multiple times I was pushed to replace my entire garage door when all that needed to be replaced were the cables. Once the technician finally understood all I wanted work on were the cables, he did a quick and efficient job, otherwise my rating would be even lower. I understand the need to upsell, especially when repairs are almost as costly as a new unit, but when all I needed was a small repair, it’s ridiculous to upsell an entire new product and I did NOT appreciate, what I take as an insult, trying to swindle the sale of a completely unnecessary new unit.

Hello Meghan and we am sorry for your experience today. We looked up your account, safely inspection and talk to the Tech to see what we can find out. After further review, we think I found out what happened. We are again sorry that you felt you were being up sold on items that you didn't need. We believe you had your door rebuilt using some older parts from the previous door and since then, the bottom section had been damaged. Our Tech noticed the rust, wear and tear on the hinges, roller, cables, etc. along with the damaged lower section. We believe, and we may be wrong, but we believe he was letting you know that if you were to replace all the needed items described above...it would be less expensive to replace the whole door. We understand now that you just wanted to replace the broken cables and that was it. Totally understandable, sorry for the confusion and perceived pressure. If you need any additional work please contact me directly and I will follow the work done personally. Thank you Clark

All questions were answered and I never felt like I was being oversold, but actually helped to get the best door for my price range and quality. I would definitely use again and refer. Precision came right out the same day. I was told step-by-step what was wrong and what needed to be replaced. I was offered two possible solutions with prices clearly given. Wonderful service, called at 7 am and they came out at 930. Garage door spring broken. based on condition and age of existing garage door, suggested that we replace the entire door, but gave me the options of which I wanted to do. Door is 20 years old and shows signs of problems, so replace is the smart thing to do.

Our garage door spring broke, but Precision was able to send a technician on a Sunday to complete repairs. Joel Rife was extremely helpful as he took the time to explain the condition of the garage door assembly and outlined our options for repair. We chose to replace everything (garage door, tracks, rollers, hinges, springs, cables, bearing plates, etc.) assembly due to the age and condition of our current system. Joel was even able to clamp our current spring in order for us to open the garage door while we schedule the new door to be installed. Very happy with initial service and excited for our new door to be installed!

5 STARS!! Shawn Roderick was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our keypad was broken, so he replaced that and did a thorough check of all of the mechanisms related to the garage door. He made suggestions without a "hard sell" attitude for which I was very grateful, and I had Shawn replace the rollers on the door. I would definitely recommend Precision to anyone who needs a garage door replacement or repair. Thank you!!

Precision fixed the garage door so that was a positive. They are slick in telling you it is one price on the phone then when they so up the technician adds his fee on to the quoted price. Be aware. They also try to sale you all new parts and if you don’t purchase those then you do not get any warranty or guarantee on the repair. They can fix your door but caution to all the up charges they propose plus the technician add one.
