I had one garage door spring to get fixed and the Technician came and said he wanted to install a two springs . Because he said it was company’s policy. That was ridiculous policy.

Hello Woldu and I am sorry you had a bad experience with us yesterday. I have Eddie, our GM, calling you today to see what we can do for you. Our spring policy was put into place for customer benefit and our tech's safety. After much analysis, we believe it is better and less expensive to replace both springs, much like brakes on your car, at the same time. Both springs have the same amount of cycles on them so it won't be long before the other brakes as well. So in an effort to save you the additional service fee when that second spring breaks its best to replace both during the first visit. Plus, we can not guarantee that one spring since it will be working harder and unevenly more than the other one. As for safety, many times when our techs unwind the unbroken spring to put the new one on, it breaks or POPS upon rewinding and that can be very dangerous. Eddie will call you to discuss further and I hope we can still help you with your door. Thanks

I suggest you go somewhere else. There is a $69 charge for them to come to your house. When they came to my house they told me they cannot work on my garage door opener it was too old and I still got charge the $69. They knew what year garage dooor opener I had before they came to my house.

Pretty sure I got completely ripped off. Charged me $925 for a LiftMaster garage door opener install when competing companies are about half of that. Should have been a least a few hundred dollars cheaper.

The technician, Shawn, was very nice and knowledgeable. Due to a safety issue with the garage door, he could not repair or replace the motor. They low rating comes from price $800+ to replace just the opener, nothing about the garage door.

We understand that it has been a bit of time since you have had to replace an operator, you are right, they are not inexpensive. We carry one of the best lines of operators in the industry but they do range in price. I believe Shawn was only able to discussed the first option before you had him depart. Prices too high! Shawn is a nice guy, seems to know his stuff, although I am a bit perplexed about the "LED bulb fries the motor" epidemic...several garage door pro's I check with know nothing about it. Maybe they are just not in the know. I guess I am a case in point to prove it. Again, 3 other sources I checked with on the work I still need done are all lower than Precision, and 2 were FAR lower, and for better equipment. So, I will never recommend your firm to anyone.

Hello Mike, I will call you so we can go over your experience and help us learn how we can improve. I will tell you that it is true that the new LED bulbs fry and disrupt the logic boards in the operators. I agree it is strange but true. The new operators now can accommodate the LED bulbs. As far as the pricing, we can discuss when we speak but it is surprising that the others had better equipment because we have the best in the industry..Our high cycle springs are 100,000 cycles where others are 25,000 cycles, our rollers are enclosed to prevent dust, crime and moisture that can weaken and cause friction and poor rolling, our cables are thicker and contain more strands to improve strength and longevity.
