We are sorry for any confusion that may have occurred from our call center regarding the $79.00 service fee. I found this company through a Google search. The process of actually setting up an appointment easy but I was less than pleased about the quality of the phone reps who provided my initial bids. They had limited product knowledge and had to put the phone down more times than I would have expected to double check on their responses. I was, however, pleasantly surprised that I could have a service tech out the next day with several options for a service call. I then had the sinking feeling that I had contacted a low quality company if they had that much availability. Unfortunately, the next set of issues were primarily my fault. I ran into some unforeseen complications in my day and could not be home in the window of time I booked. I was not able to be near my phone so I also missed a call from the tech alerting me that he was on his way. By the time I was able to get to a phone, I tried to return his call which rang through to the main office. I was 40 minutes away and would have been home 15 minutes after the tech arrived. Again, I understood that this was my fault and I was informed that the tech might wait since I was the last service stop of the day. However, after touching base with the service rep I was told he could not wait. I called back when I arrived at home later that evening to reschedule but this time the phone rep was extremely caring and showed a lot of empathy. She scheduled me for the next day in the afternoon and all was good. When the next day arrived, I did not receive any alert call or text indicating a service rep was on the way. Regardless, Glen showed up within the time block I was quoted. This is when everything changed — to the positive. I was so impressed with Glen’s level of service especially when I had what turned out to be something not as straightforward as we thought. He kept me informed every step of the way and explained everything that he was doing and provided me options. In addition, he shared what I should be looking out for and what I should be considering next, as well as what I didn’t need to address right away. I feel like my interaction with Glen completely turned around my perception of the company and now I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Glen to anyone else. He actually addressed multiple service issues so the next question response is not accurate.

I arranged appointment with PGD representative who advised there would be a service charge & would allow a senior citizens discount. I advised the representative of EXACTLY what was needed to be done, simply just strip & reconnect a wire on 1 of the reverse safety sensors at bottom of garage door which would not allow the door closed. Apparently an animal had chewed the wire. The technician came out, didn’t examine or even touch anything, but just writing on his clipboard tried to overcharge me for extra work that I didn’t need, totaling $320! Also implied 3 times, that I lied about what the representative told me concerning the senior citizens discount & advised that he & his manager would be reviewing the taped phone conversation. I asked the technician to leave and regrettably gave him a check for $69 to get him off of my property. Basically so he could stand there & B.S. me for 5 minutes. I definitely would not recommend this company if they condone their staff with such unethical practices.
